BECOME A VOTING MEMBER OF AYD
To place membership with Austin Young Democrats you must:
1) Live, work, or attend school within in the City of Austin or Travis County;
2) Be aged 14-40; and,
3) Pay the annual $10 dues.
Additional Information:
Renewing members from last year have the right to vote immediately upon paying dues. All others become voting members 30 days after paying dues.
Our bylaws require that we collect member's date of birth in order to determine age-based membership eligibility. This information will remain confidential.
If you are not able to legally contribute (under 18, undocumented, DACA or TPS recipient, etc.), you are still eligible to become a member of AYD and we welcome your involvement. Please reach out to our Secretary at secretary@austinyoungdemocrats.com and they will be able to initiate the process to waive your dues.
By paying dues, you indicate that you agree to support the Democratic Party. Thanks for your support of Austin Young Democrats and local civic engagement!
Members of UDems: If you are currently a member of UDems you will not need to pay dues. However, you must notify our Membership Director that you wish to become an active member of AYD.
